Atlantic Builders Convention Kicks Off in Atlantic City

ATLANTIC CITY, NJ, (Tuesday, April 10, 2018) The 69th annual Atlantic Builders Convention (ABC) begins today at the Golden Nugget Casino, Hotel & Marina and continues tomorrow at the Atlantic City Convention Center in Atlantic City, NJ. Hosted by the New Jersey Builders Association (NJBA), ABC is the largest building industry trade show in the Northeast, drawing thousands of participants including residential and commercial builders, developers, remodelers and subcontractors, plus a variety of manufacturers, suppliers, and consulting professionals. The convention features hundreds of exhibitors showcasing the latest products and services to a large and diverse audience of industry leaders. A wide variety of educational seminars offer attendees up-to-date information about the latest market trends, government policies and technical developments in the industry.

This year's convention floor features a new Workshop Area, sponsored by Builders First Source/ProBuild. Located in the center of the show floor, this "super-booth" will enable visitors to find new and innovative building materials and experience hands on demonstrations. There will even be a special appearance by Martha King, World Champion Wood Chopper, who will demonstrate her abilities live for the crowd, made possible by our friends at Armstrong Flooring and Tile It & More.

Returning to ABC this year is the Green Neighborhood, where builders, contractors, practitioners, and vendors with expertise in green infrastructure will locate and share expertise on stormwater management for development projects in rapid-fire consulting sessions.

ABC will also offer educational opportunities for Continuing Professional Education (CPE) credits, which will be available in the following disciplines: AICP - Professional Planners, CLE - Attorneys, and CPC - Engineers.

Local Atlantic City businesses are expected to greatly benefit from the Atlantic Builders Convention at the convention center over two days. The estimated economic impact is expected to reach more than $1.8 million. In addition, more than 1,100 hotel rooms have been contracted by convention center visitors throughout the week.

The Exhibit Floor will be open from 10:00 AM until 4:00 PM on April 11th and 12th, and will showcase the latest designs, products and services offered in the building industry.
