Atlantic City to Host Meetings Quest in 2017

Meet AC Partners with Association News to Host Nation’s Longest-Running Series of Trade Shows for Meeting Planners

ATLANTIC CITY, NJ (June 9, 2015) — Meetings Quest, the nation’s longest-running series of educational and networking events for association, corporate, government and religious meeting planners, will be held in Atlantic City, New Jersey, in 2017. The announcement was made today during a press conference organized by Meet AC at Harrah’s Atlantic City.

“We are delighted to welcome Atlantic City as the newest multiyear partner of Meetings Quest and look forward to staging Meetings Quest in Atlantic City in 2017,” said Timothy Schneider, president and CEO of Schneider Publishing, which publishes Association News and organizes Meetings Quest. “Meetings Quest provides unique educational and networking opportunities for meeting planners. We look forward to offering our attendees the chance to experience what makes Atlantic City an outstanding destination for meetings and conventions.”

“The announcement of Atlantic City hosting the Meetings Quest conference couldn’t come at a better time for the convention business in Atlantic City,” said Jim Wood, president and CEO of Meet AC. “Hosting Meetings Quest will allow us to showcase Atlantic City and all of its meeting and convention options to the meeting planners who will be in attendance during this conference. It’s just one more example of how Meet AC is continuing its efforts in growing our meetings and convention market.”

Atlantic City attracts 27 million visitors annually and is home to attractions such as the iconic Boardwalk, which features casinos, hotels, entertainment and eateries. An ideal destination for conferences and events of all sizes, Atlantic City welcomes groups with 15,630 hotel rooms and more than 770,000 square feet of citywide meeting space, ranging from the 600,000-square-foot Atlantic City Convention Center to smaller event facilities.

Further details on Meetings Quest in Atlantic City will be announced later this year. Acquired by Schneider Publishing and relaunched in 2014, Meetings Quest has been held in Mesa, Arizona; Cabarrus County, North Carolina; and Providence, Rhode Island.
