When it comes to hosting an unforgettable event, it’s about more than finding a location with ample meeting spots and hotel rooms. You also want your guests to have a fabulous time.

Atlantic City, New Jersey, more than delivers on meeting space and having a good time. In addition to its variety of venues and 17,500-plus guest rooms, Atlantic City also offers your attendees plenty of places to relax and restore before, after and in between events. From the boardwalk to the Hard Rock, here are five places to encourage your guests to visit while they’re in "The World's Playground."

Atlantic City Convention Center

In addition to its 500,000 square feet of contiguous exhibit space (making it one of the East Coast's largest convention centers), the Atlantic City Convention Center is also located near several of the city’s top restaurants and attractions.

White House Sub Shop on nearby Arctic Avenue is a local institution since 1946. Don’t leave Atlantic City without tasting its cheesesteaks. Another favorite is WINGCRAFT Kitchen & Beer Bar on Baltic Avenue. With its expansive craft beer tap list and elevated take on wings, pizza and sandwiches, it’s no wonder WINGCRAFT frequently appears on roundups of Atlantic City’s top restaurants. Encourage guests to visit between meetings, or hire WINGCRAFT to cater one of your meals. The restaurant is located at Tanger Outlets The Walk, where attendees can reward themselves with some retail therapy after a successful conference. The mall includes shops such as Columbia Factory Store, Calvin Klein and Banana Republic.

Another popular shopping spot is Bass Pro Shops, located a half mile from the convention center. After perusing its extensive collection of fishing and boating supplies, guests can warm up by the store’s cozy fireplace or admire its 13,000-gallon freshwater fish tank featuring fish found in and around New Jersey. It also has availability to host large events for corporate groups and associations.

Atlantic City Boardwalk

Perhaps the city’s most popular place to relax before or after an event is the iconic Atlantic City Boardwalk. This world-famous strip is more than 5 miles of shops, restaurants and gorgeous ocean views.

After a busy day, guests can grab a table at Fins Bar. With its 2,300-sq.-ft. boardwalk deck and portable stage, Fins offers a beach bar experience your attendees can enjoy any time of year. The bar is the latest offering from the boardwalk’s famed Margaritaville LandShark Bar & Grill.

In addition to all the shops and restaurants, the boardwalk is also the perfect launching point for a variety of surfing, kayaking and fishing adventures. From here, guests can also take in Atlantic City’s growing arts and culture scene. Jam out at the Atlantic City Beer and Music Festival, which takes place every spring. The 15-year tradition features live music and delicious pours from more than 100 local, national and international breweries. The festival also has a costume-mandatory Hop’s Trot 5K race for guests who want to stay active.

Orange Loop

The fun doesn’t end at the Boardwalk. Just a few steps away is the Orange Loop. Spanning three blocks of beachside excitement, the Orange Loop has a variety of one-of-a-kind restaurants, bars and music venues.

Your guests can enjoy a hands-on chocolate-making lesson at MADE Atlantic City Chocolate Bar, Atlantic City’s only “bean-to-bar” coffee shop. They’ll see how raw cacao is transformed into everyone’s favorite dessert. The Chocolate Bar’s staff can also whip up specialty cocktails that pair perfectly with its decadent creations.

For something savory, host a dinner party (with a heavy emphasis on “party”) at Bourré. This New Orleans–themed pub serves Cajun specialties like alligator bites, jambalaya and “swamp pasta,” a mix of alligator sausage and shrimp coated in a zesty cream sauce. After dinner, your guests can let loose on the dance floor. From karaoke to hip-hop nights, Bourré’s entertainment lineup is the perfect way to end a busy day of networking and making deals.

Another anchor of Orange Loop is the Tennessee Avenue Beer Hall. Everyone in the group will love the beers on tap and more than 60 specialty beers available by the can or bottle. All of the beers are hand selected by local food critic and radio celebrity Scott Cronick. They’re a delicious accompaniment to the Tennessee Avenue Beer Hall’s food menu, which features a modern twist on pub favorites. Nosh on lobster tater tots and crab cake sliders while enjoying a cold one.

Hard Rock Hotel & Casino

The Hard Rock Hotel & Casino opened in June 2018 after a $500 million upgrade to the former Taj Mahal Casino. The renovation included a new facade, state-of-the-art entertainment options and the construction of several new restaurants and bars.

After a productive event, guests can relax in the pool or enjoy some friendly competition playing air hockey in the game room. The on-site spa also offers a variety of treatments including deep tissue massages. The sauna, pool and hydrotherapy tub are also great way to unwind and relax. Reward your top performers with a single pampering session or a full-day retreat.

Your attendees can try their luck with its 120 table games and 2,000-plus slots. And they’ll feel like VIPs with a James Bond–inspired evening in one of the Hard Rock’s private baccarat rooms. Afterward, they can enjoy a live show at the resort’s Hard Rock Live or Sound Waves concert venues.

Ocean Casino Resort

Another hotel making waves in Atlantic City is the new Ocean Casino Resort. The property opened in June 2018 in the former Revel venue. With more than 1,300 guest rooms, many overlooking the ocean, your attendees will be able to kick back in style at this new Atlantic City resort.

The Ocean Casino’s Topgolf Swing Suite is a great spot to host a preconference meet and greet. It includes 11 private bays overlooking the boardwalk and beach below. There are also multiple arcade, video and table games designed for guests of all ages. Attendees can test their skills on the virtual putting green or try to save the world in a game of zombie dodgeball. Baseball, football spaces and two new pool tables round out the fun.

Ocean Casino Resort also has a luxe spa your attendees can relax at.  Exhale Fitness Spa has 32 treatment rooms and Atlantic City’s only coed bathhouse. Your guests will feel brand new after recharging in the Himalayan Salt Grotto, sweating it out in the sauna or taking a dip in the heated pool.
