Atlantic City, NJ (March 24, 2016) – There is general concern that the Atlantic City government may be forced to shut down on April 8 if the City and State can’t come to a working agreement regarding the City’s financial situation.

Meet AC would like to assure our convention planners and their attendees that business will be as usual and we are eager to kick-off the Spring season in full force. The anticipated shutdown would be for only non-essential City government personnel. Atlantic City’s casinos, resorts, hotels, restaurants, retail businesses, Boardwalk Hall and Atlantic City Convention Center will remain open and fully operational.

Atlantic City will be rolling out the red carpet in welcoming the Atlantic Bakery Expo, Health Professionals Network, Atlantic City Beer and Music Festival, Herbalife FSL 2016 and New Jersey Prevention Network Annual Addiction Conference in Atlantic City during the month of April.

“There is no better time to hold a meeting or convention than during the Spring and Summer months as we set to host over 80 meetings and conventions with an expected attendance of over 104,000 convention delegates to Atlantic City, highlighted by hosting the Meeting Professional’s International (MPI) World Education Congress (WEC) June 11-14 at Harrah’s Waterfront Conference Center,” said Jim Wood, president & CEO of Meet AC.

If you have questions or concerns regarding your meeting or convention, please reach out to Meet AC directly.
