Meet AC Joins Fourth Annual Celebration of Global Meetings Industry Day (GMID)

Going Digital In Atlantic City

ATLANTIC CITY, NJ (Thursday, April 4, 2019) – Today, Meet AC joins organizations across six continents to support the fourth annual Global Meetings Industry Day (GMID). GMID, led by the advocacy coalition Meetings Mean Business, showcases the proven value that face-to-face business meetings, conferences, conventions, incentive travel, trade shows and exhibitions bring to businesses and the economy.

Focused on digital and technology initiatives, Meet AC is unveiling a brand new way to experience Atlantic City’s meeting venues as a complement to our virtual reality (VR) experience by debuting our Atlantic City Meeting Planner Guide.

The guide contains a print and digital component with a printed booklet featuring Atlantic City’s meeting facilities. A dedicated QR code is displayed on each page that will take you directly to that property’s page on our website with detailed specifications. Interacting with QR codes is made easy by simply opening your phone’s camera and hovering over the QR code, which will transport you to Meet AC’s website. There you will be given an in-depth look at each property’s floor plans and additional meeting space information.

We understand planners are busy, therefore we want to offer a seamless venue selection process. Meet AC’s Marketing Team worked in coordination with the Sales Team as well as our property partners to ensure we featured accurate information for each casino and non-casino property in Atlantic City. You’ll find total square feet of meeting space, sleeping rooms and meeting specifications in our digital guide.

Last year, Meet AC unveiled our virtual reality (VR) experience, where planners can experience Atlantic City without leaving the comfort of their homes or offices. This VR platform has resulted in increased bookings, positive perceptions of the destination and an increased interest in Atlantic City. Meet AC has enhanced our original virtual reality platform by taking advantage of emerging technologies to unveil all of the activities in Atlantic City once the meetings are through.

“In Atlantic City we understand the impact meetings and events have on our businesses, economy and community,” said Jim Wood, president and CEO for Meet AC. “Meet AC continues to exceed our goals year after year and 2019 should be no exception as we are well positioned to have another banner year in definite bookings. Global Meetings Industry Day is a terrific day to come together to demonstrate the impact that meetings have on our destinations.”
